With affiliated PPO providers covering most of the USA, UniCare offers a national network, which is accessible through the UniCare online PPO directory.
We view Traval Access as an important consideration because UniCare plans strongly emphasize utilization of PPO health care providers. Correspondingly, UniCare non-network benefits tend to be less than generous.
Call a Travel Access Representative
When you're traveling away from home and you experience illness or injury, you'll probably need some assistance in identifying hospitals and physicians participating in UniCare-affiliated PPO networks. This is why a Travel Access phone number is printed on your UniCare ID card.
Travel Access representatives are available seven days a week to help you get cost-effective quality care from health care providers in the immediate area in which you're traveling.
A UniCare Travel Access representative will provide you with the name, address and phone number of an independently contracted network health care provider (or providers) in closest proximity. The network provider you utilize will submit your claim directly to UniCare.
