MedPlan Access, established in 1994, is owned by Joe Risse (Purdue University BS and University of Chicago MBA). In the health insurance industry since 1982, Joe's a member of the National Association of Health Insurance Underwriters.

MedPlan Access maintains marketing agreements with leading health insurance companies, like Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Anthem (Indiana) Blue Cross and Blue Shield, UniCare and United HealthCare.
Choosing health insurance can be a critical decision, and we believe our role in this process carries an important social responsibility. Correspondingly, we don't represent insurance companies with mediocre or inferior financial ratings.

Insurance premiums are regulated by the state, so the health insurance plans we represent can't be purchased at a lower cost -- regardless of whether an intermediary like MedPlan Access is involved.
